Have Questions? Need a Quote?
Walk-in cooler floors fail. Forklifts, pallet jacks, temperature cycling, moisture working into a seam. It catches up with even a well-built room. When it does, you need a contractor who can cut out the damaged section, restore the vapor barrier, and get the room back in service without gutting the whole thing.
AIP handles walk-in cooler floor repair and full restorations with the same in-house crews that build and install our panels. One company, start to finish.
What we do
Walk-in Floor Restoration
When a section of your cooler floor is compromised by impact damage, moisture infiltration, or failed insulation, we cut it out and replace it. The process starts with removing the damaged section down to the substrate, then installing new vapor-tight insulated flooring that integrates with your existing structure.
We fit around your room. Odd corners, existing drains, equipment that cannot be moved. Our crews handle non-standard layouts as standard practice. A full tear-out is not required.
Cooler & Freezer Floor Repair
For localized damage (cracked surface panels, lifted joints, failed vapor barriers), we assess the scope and fix what needs to be fixed. If a full restoration is not warranted, we will tell you upfront.
New Freezer & Cooler Floor Installation
Building new? AIP installs insulated flooring as part of our full cold storage build. Floors are specified alongside your panel and door selections to make sure thermal performance holds at every level.
Why the Cold Storage floor matters
A failed floor panel is not just a surface problem. Moisture that gets through the vapor barrier breaks down the insulation core and spreads into adjacent wall sections over time. Energy costs go up. Temperature consistency drops. By the time it is obvious, the repair scope has usually grown beyond what it needed to be.
Catching it early, with a contractor who understands how the floor connects to the rest of the room, is the difference between a day’s work and a major rebuild.
The AIP difference
Single-source
AIP designs, manufactures, and installs cold storage systems from one facility in Taunton, MA. When we repair your floor, we understand how it connects to your wall panels, vapor barrier, and refrigeration system because we build all of it.
In-house crews
Our installation and repair technicians are AIP employees. They are trained on our panel systems and know what to look for beyond the visible damage.
U.S. manufacturing
Our insulated floor panels are built at our 35,000 sq ft Taunton facility. No tariff exposure. No import delays. No waiting on overseas lead times.
Repair flexibility
We can cut out a defective section and replace it, work around any room size or corner configuration, and fit into spaces that were not built to a standard layout. Most cold storage contractors cannot do that.
On-time delivery
We control the full production and scheduling process in-house, which means we can commit to timelines and hit them.
Warranty coverage
AIP insulated panels include a 1-year warranty for material and workmanship defects and a 5-year delamination warranty. Floor panels engineered and installed by AIP for forklifts, pallet jacks, or carts are fully covered and exempt from the standard wheeled-traffic exclusion.
